With the digital revolution, the office as a workplace is changing face again. This is one of the key themes of the 17th edition of the Simi *, annual reference meeting of the national real estate industry. The show, which opens Wednesday to Friday at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, surfs on the good health of the sector. In 2017, the volume of investment transactions in commercial real estate in France exceeded € 26 billion, mainly for office space.
30,000 professionals and nearly 500 companies and local authorities are expected around a dense program of 130 conferences. "Uberisation, the society of sharing, is shaking up our benchmarks with an increasingly mobile young generation," says Jean-Luc Guiral, Development Director of Info Pro Digital, in charge of the show. We are at a crossroads between two logics: the invariable need of an office where to work and at the same time the need for companies to optimize the square meters face ever higher prices and employees in search of freedom.
