Hyderabad: A 27-year-old woman, who was into the stock marketing business, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at a hotel in Madhapur on Saturday.
K Sushma hailing from Seethammadhara in Visakhapatnam took the drastic step reportedly due to depression as she suffered losses in the business. A resident of Mumbai, she came to the city to meet a client and checked into Rain Tree Hotel on June 6. She was found hanging in her room on Saturday, police said.
Madhapur Sub-Inspector B Ravi Kumar said Sushma was into the stock marketing business for the last two years.
A suicide note purportedly written by her was recovered from her room, in which she stated that she was unable to come out of depression. In spite of taking pills, she was getting only temporary relief. “I did not want to inform anyone about it because I have a taboo against the illness,” she said in the note.
She thanked the family for being supportive and said that her last wish was to donate her organs.
“There are several ways to kill yourself but this one does not damage a lot of organs. I really hope that some of the organs can be used. Sorry. Mom, dad and brother for leaving you midway but I did not desire to live anymore after all these things. I cannot face and talk to you. If I did not die in my attempt, I request you not to put me on life support because sooner or later I will do the same again,” she said in the note.
